MacLean Power Systems
reinventing recruiting
Competing in a tight labor market is difficult, so MacLean Power Systems turned to BowStern for a solution to its hiring problems. We needed to deliver more qualified candidates and get more of them to the interview process.
Enter our lead-nurturing process: targeting the right people and delivering them to your doorstep.
We deployed market-leading digital marketing tactics to generate the interest we needed, and soon had candidates queuing up at our landing pages.
Very quickly we realized that HR staff could not schedule an interview with an applicant using traditional methods in a timely and effective manner. Applicants would not answer the phone or even a delayed text message, and would be lost to other job offers if the interview scheduling wasn't immediate. We had to reinvent how job-seekers were treated.
Our lead nurturing solution makes initial contact by text or email within 60 seconds of a response to our recruitment ads. Traditional methods were taking 6 days to respond. Gone are the long applications and wait times. The journey from advertising to landing page to interview scheduling is simple, fast & effective.

Last month we successfully scheduled interviews for 65% of our applicants in 2 days. Faster Recruit to Interview conversion leads to increased hires. And that has allowed us to add 30% additional workforce to our operation in 12 months. And that has made a tremendous impact on our top & bottom line results.

here's how it works
Targeted digital advertising finds the right candidates and sends them to a specific web environment tailored to the factory location.
Candidates complete a simple form and are entered into the lead nurturing system. The data is also sent via API to MacLean's internal HR system.
Each candidate is nurtured through automated contact and person to person messaging until an interview date is confirmed.
More candidates make it to an interview (reducing no-shows), and those that arrive are more qualified, resulting in a higher job-offer rate and better long-term workforce stability.
successful hiring resulted in a 45% increase in gross revenue

improved retention
The same mix of automated and personal touch points is continued after a candidate becomes an employee. Regular employee check-ins in the first 6 months have also increased retention rates, and the resulting impact on production was measured in the millions of dollars in 2023.
