BowStern Launches Project Mayday 2015

Campaign will award local nonprofit $100,000 in marketing support

(Tallahassee, Fla.)  BowStern Marketing, an integrated communication firm headquartered in Tallahassee, is kicking off Project Mayday 2015 to benefit a local nonprofit in distress. The winner will receive $100,000 in marketing support over the next 12 months. Any local nonprofit is eligible, with applications and nominations being accepted at BowStern.com/Mayday now through Friday, June 5, 2015.

Services supplied to the winning recipient will be based on need, but can include development of a marketing plan with support in branding, public relations, advertising campaign development, graphic design, social media, web design and digital marketing.

“We are committed to serving our community and giving back in a variety of ways, including donating a percentage of our profits each year,” said Tom Derzypolski, President at BowStern. “Project Mayday is one way for us to pour our efforts into a single, local nonprofit and make a large impact.”

Project Mayday applicants will be evaluated based on 1) the organization’s present marketing needs and goals; 2) the ability to implement recommended initiatives; and 3) overall impact their efforts have on the local community. The winner will be selected based on three separate components: public voting, out-of-market review and input from the BowStern team. After the application period ends, eligible entrants will be featured on the BowStern website where voting will occur. All residents in the community are encouraged to cast their vote for the most deserving nonprofit, beginning June 8, 2015.

“There are many organizations in the Big Bend doing such important work in our community,” said Kelly Robertson, CEO at BowStern. “Choosing one winner will be quite a challenge, but we are dedicated to making a difference in the communities where we live and work.”

Project Mayday was developed by BowStern specifically for nonprofits in need within the communities they serve. This is the third year the company has chosen to donate its services to a deserving organization.

The project’s first winner was Neighborhood Health Services, now Neighborhood Medical Center, a community clinic dedicated to providing residents with high-quality comprehensive medical services with a focus on the underserved, uninsured and homeless in Leon County.
