BowStern Campaign Named Best In Florida

Electric Bus Campaign Scores FPRA’s Topmost Honor: 2014 Dick Pope All Florida Golden Image Award

(Orlando, Fla.)  The Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) hosts an annual Image Award competition honoring outstanding marketing efforts across the state. This year, the BowStern Marketing team was recognized with FPRA’s topmost honor, the 2014 Dick Pope All Florida Golden Image Award, for the City of Tallahassee’s StarMetro electric bus marketing campaign.

The prestigious Dick Pope Award, named after the Cypress Gardens owner who dedicated himself to increasing Florida tourism, is awarded for the best public relations effort in the state. There is no higher honor for a marketing agency headquartered in Florida.

“I am humbled by this award,” said Kelly Robertson, CEO of BowStern. “We have an amazing group of talented minds who truly come together to not only create but then execute fully integrated campaigns. Without every member of our team, this kind of PR would not be possible. I am so proud of their work and what we are able to do for our clients.”

The award-winning campaign included traditional public relations efforts that earned national coverage, a campaign-specific website, social media contests and engagement, visually impactful graphics, public-private partnerships and paid media. Additionally, the effort received a Golden Image Award for best public relations program in its category.

The FPRA Image Awards competition is open to all public relations and marketing agencies and associations in Florida, and the awards have become a standard of excellence within the public relations industry. A panel of marketing professionals judges all entries based on production, execution, evaluation of results and budget.
