Transportation Clients Win Eight Awards at 2013 FPTA Conference

(Clearwater Beach, Fla)  Clients of BowStern Marketing Communication won eight awards at the 2013 Florida Public Transportation Association conference on October 29. The company has worked with transportation systems across the nation and currently works with four systems in the Florida Panhandle. Marketing efforts for these clients include utilizing traditional public relations efforts, fully integrated marketing campaigns, paid advertisements, social media and community outreach.

BowStern marketing efforts receiving honors last night include:

  • Okaloosa County Transit (Ft. Walton Beach): Help Us Serve You
  • Escambia County Area Transit (Pensacola): Student Summer Wheels Pass
  • StarMetro (Tallahassee): Buzz So Big, We Can’t Hide It

The campaign for Tallahassee’s StarMetro received awards for exterior bus graphics, online communications and special events and campaigns. The overall efforts surrounding this campaign were so robust, they earned the coveted Best of the Best award, honoring the top overall marketing efforts for 2013.

The FPTA Marketing Awards Competition is open to all FPTA members and is designed to recognize the critical role marketing plays in bringing people to public transportation. A panel of marketing professionals judges all entries based on innovation, production quality and overall effectiveness.
